Dear Avery,
I love taking pictures. I take thousands of them each year. Capturing moments in time is truly magical. Some of my favorite pictures are of people laughing. The feeling of joy really shines the brightest in photos.
Another thing I love along with pictures… quotes. Put them together, and viola!
When you were about 9 months old, I came home and spent the entire day taking pictures of you. It was a really fun day, and you were the BEST and the most well-behaved model — EVER. Here are few of my favorites from that day:

Here you are waiting for Santa. He comes every year, Aves. Wait patiently for him.
Here you are at Stanford University. Maybe you’ll be studying here one day. (Papa will be SO happy if you do!)

One of my favorite things to do with you is to take an Aunt Megs and Avery photoshoot. Just me and you, kid. I’ll post those some time soon.
