Dear Avery,
One of my soul sisters/brunch club member, Kara, gifted me an astrological reading with KJ Atlas. If someone had gifted this to me a 10 years ago, I would have just thought it was fun experience beyond reading my monthly horoscope in a magazine. But something in the last couple of years has shifted in me. I feel a larger pull, awareness, and openness to the universe. There is so much more knowledge and understanding in various places, astrology being one of them.
KJ was a bright light of warmth and deep knowledge of astrology. She made the 75 minute session go so quickly. Here are the key takeaways she told me, not only about my signs, but what has happened in the past as well as what may happen in the future. So of course I had to document this for you too!!
My sun is in Scorpio. This I knew. 🙂 The sun sign is determined by the position of the sun at the time of your birth and is believed to influence your basic preferences, motivations, and overall personality. Scorpios are born between October 23 and November 21. Overall, I would say this applies to me. Maybe not “intense” per say, but ever-evolving? (hell yes!)
- Intense: known for being intense, mysterious, and ever-evolving.
- Private: about things they care about. They may feel the need to distinguish themselves from others through privacy and secrets.
- Passionate: are passionate about authenticity, real intimacy, and the truth. They may also be comfortable with the darker side of life and death.
- Stubborn: are stubborn, but also rock-steady and achievement-oriented. They may get locked into a set pattern of behavior or perspective.
- Loyal: can be loyal and unconditional in matters of love. They may be kind and sensitive to the loved ones they care about.
- Temperamental: may be temperamental and have temperamental meltdowns. They may only do this when they have no other choice.
My moon is in Sagittarius. A person’s moon sign is one of the most important parts of their astrological profile. It represents their emotional side, feelings, intuition, and memories. Or as KJ said, their “inner child”.
- Freedom-loving: may feel claustrophobic in situations that limit their ability to explore.
- Boisterous: may have a warm energy that’s expressed through the archer, the sign of Sagittarius.
- Lucky: may be influenced by Jupiter, the planet of fortune, abundance, and optimism.
- Optimistic: They approach life with a positive outlook and find joy in the journey.
- Curious: They are driven to explore different cultures, philosophies, and ideas.
- Wild and untamed: They live life with a reckless kind of joy and believe the world holds more beauty, truth, and wonder than they could ever experience.
- Dreamers: They remind us that life is not meant to be lived within the confines of security or routine.
- Defensive: They can be defensive at times
My rising is in Virgo. Your rising sign is a key factor in shaping your appearance, attitude, and how others perceive you.
- Practical: are grounded in the physical world and value stability.
- Analytical: Virgo risings are detail-oriented and analytical, and they strive for excellence.
- Organized: are known for their organized appearance and attention to grooming.
- Reserved: tend to be more reserved and take in a crowd before sharing too much.
- Curious: are curious about the world around them and why things are the way they are.
- Good leaders: are big thinkers who can see the bigger picture and guide others well.
- Compatible with earth signs: are compatible with other earth signs, like Taurus (Hello, TROY!) and Capricorn, who share their practical nature.
This was a beautiful reading, and it came at a time of a few obstacles, despair (about the 2024 election — UGH!) and overall anxiety being higher than usual. But that is how the universe works, it knows when you need a sign of hope and optimism.
KJ said so many things that aligned with my past, and had such positive remarks for my future. She says I’ll be going through a new season of change where I’ll be shedding my layers and entering a new shell of myself. My circle of friends will widen, while old friends may drop off. She also mentioned that I may have a political advocacy/community activist that will arise in me. I connect with all of that.
I look forward to my “rebirth of myself” as I enter a new phase of boldness and true self.
Good things ahead. The stars tell me so.
With love,
Aunt Megs
